Active corn-snake eats every 10 days or so. It is recommended to feed your hair Snake Pre-killed prey, especially if hose is raised on live prey. A live prey may also turn on and attack a lazy snake that is not feeling too hungry and possibly causing serious injury to your pet hair-snake.
When the feed from a corn snake and how
Juveniles started the pink mice for feedings and as the snake grows, gradually increase the size of the prey by offering fuzzies, crews, then small adult mice or rat pinkies.
Hatchling a child eat a pinky mouse every three days or so. Gradually, as Hatchling growing, feeding it every four, five or six days. Around the time from up to six days, the swallowing of a little finger in no time, so try one like tail of the first disappears. If it takes two PINKIES ok, continue for two or three power supplies and then offers them a certain location not two PINKIES. It may seem too big for you, but if the snake can swallow it without problems, it is not too large. If too much food in one feeding session, or feed a prey item is too large, your snake will not swallow and spit after the test. After several weeks of uncertainty, repeat the process to PINKIES. If your hair-Snake swallows a fuzzy easily, then try to feed two. And after a few feedings with two fuzzies, try this little mice adult. An adult corn snake could eat a medium to large mouse.
How Corn Snake Feeding
Frozen prey should be completely thawed and warmed slightly before feeding. After thawing, place the prey in a small plastic dish and place dish in the cage and let the snake. If the snake does not eat after a few hours, then remove it and throw it away.
Some snakes like their prey “jiggled” to them. To do this, grab the prey of the tail with tongs (no sharp, pointed end) and hold the prey for the stocking hose to save.
